Andy Salter
Managing Director
Andy founded Salter Demolition in 2016 after a career of over 20 years in the demolition industry with Tier 1 Contractors. Having worked on some of London’s most complex and prestigious demolition projects Andy has now hand picked a highly skilled team to deliver a bespoke demolition service within the industry.

Bill Unwin
Operations Director
Bill has over 30 years experience working in demolition and has gained invaluable” hands on” experience of all aspects of our industry. Bill is a natural leader and enjoys overcoming the challenges set by every project and working with the Clients and professional teams. Bill is also a member of the IDE and committed to improving the service provided by the demolition industry.

Steve Mansfield
Tender and Estimating Director
Steve joined Salter Demolition in January 2020. Having worked as Pre Construction Director for two major Tier 1 Demolition Contractors over the years, Steve brings considerable experience from his 30 years involvement in Demolition and Sub Structure works.

Bruce Diffey
Commercial Manager
Bruce is a Chartered Quantity Surveyor with 35 years’ experience in the construction industry in both main contracting and specialist contracting organisations. Bruce has extensive knowledge of JCT and NEC forms of contract and experience in delivering services including demolition, reinforced concrete structures, piling, groundworks, asbestos removal, temporary works and façade retention schemes. Bruce has held senior management and board positions and lead commercial teams in consistently enhancing profits using his well-honed negotiating skills combined with excellent technical and practical understanding.

Phil Kite
Project Manager
Phil joined Salter in 2016 and has over 15 years experience within the demolition industry. Phil’s attention to detail and practical project management skills are ideally suited for complex demolition, cut and carve, and large scale soft strip projects. Safety, programme, delivery and excellent client relations are Phil’s key strengths and are maintained throughout the project.

Malcolm Brasted
Project Manager
Malcolm joined Salter in 2016 and has had over 20 years “hands on” experience in the Demolition industry before progressing into the Project Managing of demolition sites. This detailed knowledge and proactive approach to every challenge is one of Malcolm’s key strengths and ensures the safe and professional delivery of a project. Recent completed projects include Project Pegasus, Inner Temple and 120 Fleet Street.

Brett Lovegrove
Project Manager
Brett joined Salter in 2017 and has had over 20 years “hands on” experience in the Demolition industry before progressing into the Project Managing of demolition sites. Brett has recently completed two very complex cut and carve projects on restricted central London sites where we are working on multiple works areas with specialist cutting equipment. On both projects existing tenants remained live within the building for part if not all, of the duration of the demolition.

John Ballantyne
Senior Project Manager
John is a highly experienced construction professional with over 25 years in the industry, having held key roles at Laing O’Rourke and a Tier 1 demolition contractor. Throughout his career, John has managed a broad range of construction operations, with particular expertise in frontend works such as demolition, piling, concrete frames, and structural steelwork.
He has successfully delivered a variety of complex and high-profile projects, earning the trust and respect of clients, colleagues, and industry peers. John is known for his practical, hands-on management style and his strong teamwork and interpersonal skills. He communicates effectively with site teams, clients, and third parties, including neighbouring stakeholders, to ensure smooth and safe project delivery. His proactive approach to community engagement helps minimise disruption and maintain positive relationships throughout each stage of the demolition process.

Daniel Birch
Quantity Surveyor
Daniel is a Chartered member of the Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB) and holds a
degree in Quantity Surveying. He adopts a proactive and collaborative approach,
working closely with project managers to ensure timely delivery while maintaining cost
control.
Daniel is focused on identifying efficiencies and opportunities throughout the
project lifecycle to stay within budget and improve overall margins

Andrei Pantile
Contracts Manager
Andrei joined Salter Demolition as a Project Manager and brings a wealth of engineering and temporary works knowledge, which has proved pivotal during the course of recent projects. His interpersonal skills have helped to create and develop good professional relationships with clients, suppliers, contractors and site teams. The success of these relationships is clearly evident within the quality and professionalism of his team, and the respect shown by those working around him.

Ghokulan Ravikulan
Assistant Project Manager
Ghokulan joined Salter Demolition in 2024, bringing eight years of experience in the
construction and demolition industry. Previously, as a Senior Temporary Works
Designer, he has worked extensively as an engineering consultant for demolition
contractors.
His technical knowledge of temporary works and demolition sequencing allows him to
develop innovative, safety-conscious solutions for even the most demanding projects.
Ghokulan thrives on problem-solving, ensuring that every stage of a project is executed
efficiently while maintaining the highest standards of safety and precision.
Committed to delivering structured, engineering-led approaches to demolition,
Ghokulan’s analytical mindset and proactive management style make him a key asset
in overseeing projects from planning through to completion.

Jake Sanchez
Assistant Project Manager
Jake joined Salter Demolition in October 2024 as an Assistant Project Manager. Jake has
a degree in Civil Engineering and is an incorporated member of the ICE (IEng MICE).
Jake started his career as an apprentice Structural Engineer in 2019 which he
completed before moving into a Project Management role.
Jake’s understanding and application of structural engineering principles complements
the range of projects we undertake at Salter Demolition; especially as Jake has worked
across a variety of residential, commercial and public works projects.

Matt Galbraith
Trainee Quantity Surveyor
Matt joined Salter Demolition in August 2025 as a Trainee Quantity Surveyor. Whilst working towards a degree in Quantity surveying and aiming to be a member of the Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB), Matt’s key responsibilities are cost control on projects, assisting with monthly valuations and the day-to-day management of subcontract packages.
As part of a wider commercial team Matt will learn all aspects of the commercial management of projects.

Richard Hartley-Shah
Estimator
Richard brings four years of estimating experience within the construction industry including Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing
(MEP). In his role as Estimator, he applies a keen eye for detail and a commitment to accuracy to support the preparation of competitive and precise bids.
Richard is enthusiastic about expanding his expertise into the demolition sector and is dedicated to contributing to the successful delivery of projects.

Liz Salter
Finance Manager
Liz is a Chartered Quantity Surveyor and has worked across several sectors including building refurbishment, construction, civils and demolition. Liz has been with Salter Demolition from the beginning and looks after the financial aspects of the business.

Zoë Graves
PA/Sustainability and Quality Manager
Zoë joined Salter in 2016 and has 18 years’ experience in building management with the last 8 years within the demolition industry. Zoe has been instrumental in establishing and updating the Salter company and project systems, processes and procedures as well as maintaining our company accreditations.
Zoë has a keen interest in the role demolition and construction industry plays in Sustainability and has attained IEMA Practitioner Membership and works day to day with the team to help proactively drive Salter Demolition’s Sustainability agenda forward.

Ilŷd Thomas
Business Support Co-ordinator
With 4 years of experience in administration and support roles, Ilŷd has a strong ability
to provide effective support to teams. Ilŷd is detail oriented, and her problem-solving
abilities and proactive support ensures the smooth running of both office and project
sites.
Alongside her administrative expertise, Ilŷd has a strong interest in Sustainability and
works alongside the Sustainability manager to contribute to initiatives and processes
that support Salter Demolition’s Sustainability agenda.
